Underground plumbing and foundation work has been underway for the addition to Wayside Elementary School, with scheduled work on sewer and electrical lines.
In February, voters approved funding for the expansion and renovations at Wayside. Ten new pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classrooms, along with new music and art rooms, are under construction on the northwest side of the school. The project will eventually include additional connecting hallways, restrooms, and renovations of the existing early childhood pods, offices, and library.
