At the baseball-themed Bruins of the Year event on April 6, Kelsey Bridges was named the 2023 Bartlesville Public Schools Teacher of the Year. She teaches fourth grade students at Ranch Heights Elementary School. Bridges received a monetary award from the Schmoldt Family and two Southwest Airlines tickets courtesy of Spears Travel.
Bridges was introduced at the event by student Abby Notley.
Elaine Starkey was not only honored as the Rising Star Teacher for Ranch Heights, but the first grade teacher was similarly selected for district-wide honors as the district's Rising Star Teacher, for a top teacher with one to four years of experience.
Claudia Cuellar was honored as the Ranch Heights Classified Person of the Year.
