The concrete masonry walls are up on the addition to Wayside Elementary School, and a roof is being installed. Heavy steel beams gird the roof of the ten early childhood classrooms, which will double as an all-school storm shelter. Brick veneer and exterior sheathing will coming soon.
The south connector is in the foreground in the shot below. It includes a new special education classroom and additional restrooms and will link up all three classroom wings of the building.
