The Bruins won their 2023 Homecoming Game against the Putnam City West Patriots with a 27-yard field goal with seven seconds remaining in the game. The final score was 31-28.
The Bruins took the field under the new video board, the third-largest among state high schools at 60 feet long and 22 feet high. Private donations have already covered most of the cost and continue to be solicited. Those and advertising sales, including Student Shoutouts, will allow it be paid off in the coming years.
After the halftime show by the Bruin Brigade, the Homecoming Court was introduced and the King and Queen crowned.
